Managed Alcohol Program (MAP) & Community Supported Opioid Access (MySafe) Program

MAP: Main Street Project’s (MSP) MAP follows a trauma-informed medical approach rooted in harm reduction that supports improved overall health outcomes and creates conditions for recovery and engagement for people who use beverage and non-beverage alcohol. MAPs are designed to support participants in stabilizing and feeling safe without judgment. This is a strengths-based program designed to provide opportunities for choice and collaboration. Presented by Jamil Mahmood.

MySafe: MSP’s community-supported opioid access program launched in ceremony in late 2023. The first two participants were introduced to MySafe in early 2024 and now provides services to five participants. The program is rooted in relationships and focuses on holistic wrap-around supports to pair with the program. The service provides daily access to prescribed opioids to avoid individuals using a toxic supply. Presented by Karen Murison.
