Information for Health-care Leaders Organizing Support for Health-care Workers in Manitoba
This is intended for health-care leaders, HR staff, or designates that require support for organizing a response for critical incident stress or a potentially psychologically traumatic event.
Health-care leaders may call 1-844-820-2010 to connect with the Provincial Wellbeing Team between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.
Access and supports are available for all healthcare workers in Manitoba including both clinical and non-clinical staff, health-care volunteers, students on clinical placement.
Critical Incident Stress Response (CISR) or Potentially Psychologically Traumatic Event (PPTE) Support
Wellbeing Leaders are trained clinicians in delivering CISR services. They support the delivery of a trauma-informed, Provincial Critical Incident Stress Response (CISR) program. This program provides a full continuum of CISR supports to enhance local and provincial capacity for responding to critical incidents and other psychologically challenging events. This program ensures that healthcare workers receive timely, effective support during and after incidents that impact their mental health and wellbeing to support their recovery.
