Thomas Beaudry
Thomas Beaudry, a proud Anishinaabe man residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has devoted his life to advancing equity and reconciliation for Indigenous Peoples and communities. A father of three and a mishoom of nine, Thomas is deeply connected to his community and works tirelessly to address the intersection of environment, health and Indigenous rights. Recently retired from the Province of Manitoba’s Department of Sustainable Development where he served as the Engagement and Reconciliation Community Coordinator, Thomas now serves as Climate Change and Environment Manager at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, applying his knowledge and experience to create healthier environments and communities. Thomas’ experiences of racism, inequity and loss within the health care system has led him to engage deeply as a patient and caregiver partner in health research with the Centre for Healthcare Innovation as well as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
