Pediatric Emergency Virtual Education Session -Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)

The University of Manitoba and Translating Emergency Knowledge for Kids (TREKK) will be providing FREE virtual outreach sessions for health professionals seeking education and tools for assessing and treating pediatric emergencies in the general ED. The Pediatric Outreach Sessions program is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Learning Objectives for this Course Include:
- Understand and utilize best practices for the assessment and management of pediatric illness and injury, and how to best prepare a patient for transport to a pediatric facility
- Use TREKK resources to help assess and manage pediatric cases in a general ED setting
