The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is pleased to announce that Dr. Tamara McColl and Dr. Tomislav Jelic have been selected as the local conference Chairs for the 2026 CAEP Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba!   

The CAEP annual conference fosters community among Canadian EM practitioners by supporting education and strengthening the field. Winnipeg’s central location and rich history as a meeting place make it an ideal host city. Dr. McColl, the Director of Education, Scholarship, and Faculty Development in DEM and the Royal College Chair of Emergency Medicine, is known for her philanthropic efforts supporting the Ukrainian community. Dr. Jelic, DEM’s Director of Ultrasound, is a recognized expert in point-of-care ultrasound, contributing through teaching, research, and clinical innovation.
