WRHA – EAP Diversity in the Workplace – Virtual

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) policies are becoming commonplace in the workplace. EDI policies ensure that everyone in the workplace is treated fairly and with respect regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion. And while diversity has become a buzzword in the workplace, organizations may be missing out on the value that a truly diverse organization provides to employees. This session aims to explain the concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, including the types of diversity, why they’re important, and how to promote a truly inclusive environment for all employees. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore communication techniques as they are used in the work setting and common pitfalls to avoid.
