WRHA – EAP – Communication Skills in the Workplace
Communication is an essential skill in every aspect of our day-to-day work. This three-hour session is designed to be interactive while providing you tools to effectively use communication in the workplace and how to deal with conflict and inter-personal communication issues.
After this session, you will be able to:
- Understand self-awareness and the importance of self-awareness in the workplace.
- Understand conflict and how it contributes to communication breakdowns in the workplace.
- Develop skills related to verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
- Develop a process for selecting effective communication techniques.
- Understand the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EI).
- Relate and discuss common communication problems in the workplace.
- Utilize techniques to resolve inter-personal problems within the workplace to help achieve organizational and individual goals.
