Strategies for ensuring that research supports, rather than burdens, your organization

At a time when stresses on health systems continue to grow, health leaders are increasingly urged to engage more with research. This involves “using” or applying research, providing access to data, patients, or sites, or to “partner” on research proposals. However, while research can bring a number of potential benefits, not all requests and actions add value to the organization. They may, instead, cost the organization time, money, and frustration. Based on the recently released guidebook “It’s time to talk about our relationship with research” (free for download at:  https://iktrn.ohri.ca/resources/ikt-resources/), this webinar will outline key issues for organizations to consider as they plan their research involvement; highlight useful tools to support decision-making; and discuss strategies for protecting their organization from inappropriate requests.
