Manitoba Northern & Rural Institute in Program Evaluation

The Program and Policy Research Group (PROPER) at the University of Manitoba and partnering organizations (Canadian Evaluation Society Manitoba Chapter, United Way of Winnipeg) are proud to offer the Manitoba Northern & Rural Institute in Program Evaluation!
The Institute is a capacity building opportunity on program evaluation and use of evidence for decision making. The Institute will bring together community-based practitioners and university students to learn about program evaluation using an online platform. Institute participants will learn about Western and Indigenous approaches to evaluation through a combination of lectures, case studies, and group work. Participants will develop evaluation plans to be implemented by community agencies in the health and social service sectors located in northern and rural areas of Manitoba. Contingent on space availability, those not from northern or rural areas of Manitoba will also be able to register. For participating agencies, the Institute will also offer the opportunity to receive support in the implementation of the evaluation plans after the Institute. The Institute will be offered from October 5 to November 18, 2021. Classes and group work will take place via an online platform on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00AM to 11:45AM for the six-week duration. Further details to follow. Cost: $650 (agency rates and subsidies will be available) For more information, contact Javier Mignone (javier.mignone@umanitoba.ca) and/or Susan Bourassa Rabichuk (rabichus@myumanitoba.ca).
