How the LEADS Framework Supports achieving Health Equity in Manitoba

The LEADS framework identifies the leadership capabilities required within health care to achieve an equitable and sustainable system.

This event is happening during Manitoba’s Health Equity Week.

Description

The LEADS in a Caring Environment framework identifies the leadership capabilities required within health care, including those needed to achieve an equitable and sustainable system.

In this interactive Round, we will connect the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework to the Manitoba Quality and Learning framework, which guides health care quality improvement for all Manitobans. We will explore how LEADS helps create a culturally safe environment for our staff and clients. Participants will have the opportunity to share and collect strategies to increase the equity of their services.

Objectives

In this Round, participants will:

  • Recognize the connection between the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework and the Manitoba Quality and Learning Framework.
  • Understand how the LEADS capabilities prepare us to work towards health equity in Manitoba.
  • Share practical actions and resources to ensure everyone on the team is empowered to provide equitable, high-quality care for all people.
