Michele is deserving of this recognition for many reasons. Thank you for the opportunity to provide a few: 1. She is quick in her responses and our requests 2. She trouble shoots and is solution focused 3. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to anything administrative 4. She is always willing to help managers and educators in our department when we ask 5. She is a leader in her role – orientating and mentoring other secretaries 6. She is the first person managers and educators call when needing computer support 7. She organizes our Christmas team events, planning the games, collecting and organizing the prizes, ordering the food and drinks and managing invites 8. She acknowledges each team member and verbalizes how appreciative she is of everyone 9. She arranges lunches/gatherings for our birthdays 10. She finds time in calendars if we need meetings booked 11. She is very organized and organizes our department’s supplies and office needs that it is easy to locate what we need when we need. We don’t run out of supplies because Michele is always on top of it and puts in orders for supplies when needed 12. She decorates the office and our department with each season, festivity and holiday 13. When we don’t have our office key, she is the first person we go to 14. When we need someone to talk to, she is open, listens and supports. 15. She prioritizes meetings as needed by the Centre. 16. She understands the work it takes to provide excellent care and supports us in her ways – she’ll often say “just ask” and she will help 17. Most recently she recognized every female in our department for International Women’s Day, reminding us of our greatness. All of these support caring and excellence because these examples make our job easier. Smooth running office, organized calendars, a bright, inviting and festive office and department all have impact and help us do our jobs better. I can go on and on and I hope I have shared enough examples of why Michele is deserving.
