Jennifer Ostafichuk routinely goes the extra mile for patients in our Academic Grace Hospital Allergy Clinic. She has shown great interest and dedication in learning about the many nuances of allergic conditions including anaphylaxis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, drug allergy, inducible urticarias including dermatographism, and asthma to name only a few. She has learned how to perform specialized testing and procedures including patch testing, spirometry, intradermal and skin prick testing, and immunotherapy. She always makes time for patients who need her help, including those requiring high-risk drug challenges, uncontrolled asthma requiring spirometry, or clarification of complex allergy problems. Jennifer is an absolute pleasure to work with and is a real team player who focuses on the patients’ needs. So many patients have benefited from her help, it would be hard to summarize just how many lives are better thanks to her keen interest in helping understand and ensure patients get the care they need in a timely and thoughtful manner. Jennifer deserves the highest recognition for her great efforts.
