Amber Hamm

Wellbeing Leader, Shared Health
Hello, I’m Amber Hamm. My background is in Social Work where I’ve previously worked in Community Corrections both in Winnipeg, Selkirk and on northern remote First Nation Communities; private counselling, as well as worked in community settings such as drop in centres, and supporting kids in care. For the past 5.5 years I’ve been working in Crisis Services, both as a front-line Clinician, Team Leader and a short term as Interim Manager. Throughout my career I’ve been passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life and walking alongside of people during a difficult time and supporting them through their individual journeys. Furthermore, in more recent roles I have experience supporting staff during critical incidents, walking through change and at the same time understanding individual needs and attempting to bring together teams in a collaborative and meaningful way.
Having worked in Crisis Services, and particularly at the Crisis Response Centre which is a 24/7 walk in based facility, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by healthcare workers in an acute setting.
As a Wellbeing Leader, my goal is to ensure that everyone feels heard and is able to access support in a meaningful way that creates longevity in an individuals’ personal and professional journey.
