Electronic Long-Term Care Record (eLTCR) Project

Shared Health and Digital Shared Services (DSS) are replacing the current Civica LTC solution with the GoldCare Electronic LTC Record.

The first phase of the project will include migrating all devolved WRHA PCH sites, as well as non-devolved PCH sites in WRHA currently using Civica that have chosen to adopt GoldCare. Implementation of GoldCare is required for devolved PCH sites and recommended for non-devolved sites. Future phases and timelines are to be determined and will see the electronic LTC solution implemented in PCHs across the province.

The transition to a new Electronic LTC Record is an important opportunity to implement a modern digital platform across PCH sites and to adopt the interRAI Long Term Care Facility (LTCF) assessment tool. LTCF is recognized as the current gold standard in best-practice assessment and takes less time to complete than the MDS 2.0 tool currently in use. The LTC sector is a critically important part of our healthcare system, and we look forward to collaborating with all of our partners as we implement this project in 2026.
