Medical Staff Attestation
Attestation is a mandatory annual process for medical staff where they are asked to complete and sign an attestation document confirming their continuing agreement to abide by the Medical Staff bylaws, rules and regulations, etc., as well as to confirm details around their demographics, appointments, privileges, and clinical practice. Shared Health facilitates the attestation process for all healthcare service delivery organizations (SDOs) in Manitoba. Starting in 2025 – the attestation process is being done electronically, and medical staff will be able to complete the process via portal.
To access the portal is a two-step process where users will first need to authenticate (using the same authenticator you use daily to access systems), and then register on the portal in order to complete the annual attestation process.
Medical staff throughout the province can expect to receive an email to their health authority-issued email address before the end of the year (and then annually thereafter) inviting them to complete their attestation process, along with detailed instructions and deadlines.
NOTE: the health authority-issued email address that the email is sent to is also your username for the process.
