Now Open – New Emergency Department at St. Boniface Hospital
Congratulations to the Saint Boniface Hospital clinical leadership team on the opening of the upgraded Saint Boniface Emergency Department. The new ED has officially opened on October 2, 2025.
This milestone represents an important advancement in patient care, staff experience, and access to services, while also enhancing operational flexibility and increasing capacity to support more patients.

New Victoria Emergency Department Project to Start in January 2026
The Manitoba government is advancing its efforts to build a new emergency department at Victoria Hospital in south Winnipeg. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, as announced by Premier Wab Kinew and Minister of Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care, Uzoma Asagwara.
Registration is now available for upcoming departmental and regional emergency medicine courses, including procedural sedation, simulation sessions, and POCUS courses. Spaces are limited and early registration is encouraged to secure participation in these high-demand learning opportunities!
