CPoCUS Independent Practitioner (IP) Certification Courses

March 17–19, 2027

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Manitoba is pleased to offer two Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society (CPoCUS) Independent Practitioner (IP) certification streams. Both intensive 3-day courses combine hands-on ultrasound training with the national CPoCUS certification examinations.

Participants must register for one of the following certification streams (Additional details available in the registration link).

• Option 1 – CPoCUS IP-Core Certification
• Option 2 – CPoCUS IP-Resus Certification

Learning Objective

Develop competency in the integration of Critical Point-of-Care Ultrasound (CPoCUS) into clinical assessment and resuscitation by acquiring, interpreting, and applying focused ultrasound findings to support timely diagnosis, guide procedures, and inform evidence-based management of critically ill or unstable patients.
