You are invited to join us for the next WOW Wednesday – Nursing Stories: What, Opportunities We Share in Career Development Speaker Series on November 5th, 2025 featuring CNS Karen Burgess HSC.
Karen Burgess is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a Master of Psychiatric Nursing. Her career began at Health Sciences Centre in 2002 where she held positions throughout the mental health program as a unit nurse, a day hospital nurse, outpatient nurse therapist, consultation liaison mental health nurse, and nurse educator. She has been the Clinical Nurse Specialist since 2019. In her role, she leads quality improvement projects, develops curriculum and delivers education, provides clinical supervision and mentorship, and advocates to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and the voices of individuals and families with lived experience.
