You are invited to join us for the next WOW Wednesday – Nursing Stories: What, Opportunities We Share in Career Development Speaker Series on January 7th, 2026 featuring Lucas Tielman CCMB.
Lucas Tielman completed his bachelor of nursing degree in 2012 from the Red River College & University of Manitoba joint program. He started his career at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital as a unit nurse working in surgery and burns, followed by pediatric day surgery.
In 2015 Lucas made the jump to CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB), working in head and neck surgical oncology. In 2018 Lucas accepted two pediatric positions at CCMB working with hematology and oncology patients in the clinic and chemotherapy treatment room, as well as a position supporting pediatric hemoglobinopathy patients. Lucas also has experience working with Becton Dickenson, educating front line staff on new IV technologies across Canada, as well as a unit nurse at BC Children’s Hospital.
Most recently, alongside a great team, Lucas had the opportunity to research and develop a proposal for a hemoglobinopathy program at CCMB.”
